My One Word review

WOW!! In MY One Word...prepare to be challenged...this is a challenge for the new year!! In it Mike Ashcroft and Rachel Olson share their one word and share how you can do it also!
There are testimony's of those who have taken the challenge and the words were easy and difficult, but they staid on course and they grew deeper in their love for the LORD.

On page 41 this is what is explained and I hope it inspires you to get the book, follow what these two share with you on how to pick one word for a year and follow though with it...it is challenging, I am looking forward to doing it!!

So to be clear, change is possible but focus is required. And dependance on GOD is absolutely foundational.
You will read this book, feel inspired, pick a word and get excited to tackle your own one-word project with gusto. Great!
My One Word will require some effort from you, and your excitement will carry you forward. But your effort centers on remaining in a focused position for a length of time while depending on God's ability to do in you what you cannot do for yourself.
As Dillard Willard says. "Grace is not opposed to effort, it is opposed to earning"

With that what word will you choose...get the book, you will be glad you did! Oh my one word for the next year is HEALING...I am going to stand faithful on the promise's of GOD for that...part of my testimony is the woman with the issue of blood and as she suffered much so have I. Like her I know if I could just touch the hem of HIS garment I would be healed but it was her undying faith that set her free!!!

Seek out your word, set your self free to live fully, laugh,love and receive "ALL" GOD has for you for 2013!!! =)

Being real...

In our lives we will have pain. I am writing this as I am in such emotional pain over things that I would like to be so different. This year has had its highs and lows, I have laughed and I have cried. Today I am in a place that is in need of me to mourn a loss that I have not known and it hurts to do so, my heart feels as if it could shatter over the pain I am feeling today. A pain that is deeper then I ever thought it was, a pain and a grief that has kept me sleepless and feeling abandoned.
I cannot change what has happened, all I can do is pray that one day and hopefully before the return of JESUS that it will change. For now I stand on the WORD of GOD....

Harriet Beaner Takes The Bus

Hello All,
Yet another great book but this one is a novel!!
In Harriet Beamer Takes the Bus you are taken on an adventure through the life of a Seventy two year old gal who has NEVER traveled!! So she sets out and each new day brings adventure, she encounters all types of people and sees so much scenery, honestly I know she is just a character but I I wanted to be there with her and I was!! Joyce Magnin brought Harriet alive in such a way that this story will have impact on you that no matter how old you are, how young you are...If you have a dream, a passion pursue it!!
I laughed and cried and was rooting for Harriet in sticky situations, I could not help my self, I was a little sad when the book ended!! So if your looking for a great adventure, one that will take you high and low, that will tickle your funny bone and will open up a tender side...READ THIS ONE!!

I am looking forward to reading more about Harriet if not I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet her now, she will forever be an inspiration because in all of us there is a HARRIET BEAMER waiting to take an adventure and grab hold of a dream!!

My Big Bottom Blessing review

Ladies there comes a book that fits every need that we go through, our looks, our thoughts our self inflicting pain, I have read many. In My Big Bottom Blessing you are taken into the intimate struggles of Teasi Cannon. Her deepest scars, hurts and pain she is open and transparent to the very person she is. You will laugh, you will cry, you may even be healed by her very words and the TRUTH of who you are as a daughter in the site of JESUS!!
Teasi has brought the truth of all insecurities to surface and each chapter offers truth and healing, at the end of each of them she has put questions to help you break free from all the self inflicting pain, the lies of the evil one who we know with him in your head...all the more hurtful with his lies and manipulations.

Teasi also has scriptures for you to meditate on and put on index cards to have when you are having a bad day...ladies its time we truly embrace who we are as a daughter of the RISEN KING, also who we are according to HIS creation...We are fearfully and wonderfully made.. (Psalm 139:14)

In the conclusion of the book this is what was shared..

Your pain can be turned into dancing as you stand under the waterfall of the Father's amazing love. And when it does, your testimony will be used as a powerful part of God's plan to overcome Satan.

And they overcame him (the evil one) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.  Revelation 12:11

Are you ready to let go of all the lies that you have believed from what ever has happened in your life to cause them, if so take a deep breath and venture in the HEALING POWER OF JESUS...you know what you my sweet sister are HIS BELOVED...HE created you just as you are, BIG, SMALL, TALL, SHORT...you are specially made..embrace that.

Be proud of how you are made, GOD loves you just the way you are, big bottom or small bottom...you are HIS and HE smiles upon you!!

A day like this..

In the past couple of days I have felt like this little guy looks!! It has been a couple of stressful days. One thing I hate most is bugs in the house and on Wednesday afternoon one of my cats made me aware of a swarm of carpenter ants in the corner of the master bedroom...in cleaning that up I get a call that my dad has been rushed to the hospital and so I rush up there. Praise GOD it turned out he had an allergic reaction to his medicine. He is released on Thursday only to end up being rushed to the VA today because something has popped in his right leg,could be anything, all this in the midst of a move.

So when you are overwhelmed by life what do you do? Well I take it to the cross and pray. What else can I do. There is so much comfort in the WORD of GOD for days like this and though I will be honest my emotions tried to over take me in all of this but for my own health concerns I had to take a deep breath, and just say LORD I put it ALL in your hands.

These are the following scriptures for comfort...

2 Corinthians 1:4
who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by GOD.

Psalm 119:76
O may Your loving kindness comfort me, According to Your word to Your servant.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, You are with me; Your rod and Your staff , they comfort me.

Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden upon the LORD and HE will sustain you; HE will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

There are many more!! Remember no matter how weary you are , no matter what trials come...JESUS is right there and HE knows...hand it ALL to HIM!!
We have the ultimate comforter by our side...JESUS!!!!

In Searchers you are taken on a journey that takes two traveler's from doubt to believing that GOD the GREAT I AM...is just who we all who believe HE is...GOD

This book is for everyone. Its for the seasoned Christian, for the Babes in Christ, for all others seeking the truth of just who GOD is.

I would like to share a passage from the book on page 183, not to give to much away I will keep it brief and will share just enough so you will see where these two seekers end up.

We have seen two companions, on their way to a place called Emmaus, were confronted with a similiar choice. They were not expecting to meet with GOD as they fled the scene where their hopes had collapsed into futility. They had set their sights on home, where they might make sense of things. Home would be a place to escape.

I will end here, to find out what the two companions came to realize..check out the book...It is really good and you will put it down having peace and knowing the whole truth and nothing but the truth!!

Prroof Of The Afterlife

In Proof of the Afterlife you are taken into the the experiences that Brother Joseph had after his near death experience. Each encounter takes gives you a hope, a peace, and the truth that GOD still communicates with HIS children. It doesn't just share that, in here you will feel the love, grace and mercy of OUR FATHER...who wants only for us to be with HIM and goes beyond then what we can imagine to prove that.

There has NEVER been a doubt that GOD communicates to us, HE does differently for all of us. That my dear brother and sister is a gift and blessing, GOD loves us all so much and HE wants us to be happy, to know HIS truth, most importantly to be with HIM.

Not only is it conversations its on mercy, love, forgiveness, faith...ALL of these are so important...I LOVED it!! I think you will too!!

In the past I have read books that had a similiar text to them and yet not as informative as this one. At the end of every chapter there is a question section called Think About It...there are a list of questions that help evaluate your relationships and your relationship with JESUS CHRIST.

1) In Break Through you will learn to do the following...
2) Identify why you gravitate toward certain relationships and why you stay
3) Discern the warning signs of an unhealthy relationship
4) Live within your limits, and help others to do the same
5) Redefine love, trust, and your responsibility to the people you care about
6) Learn which choices and behaviors cause relationship troubles
7) Experience the power and freedom of forgiveness

So check this out, you will be glad you did!!

LOVE DOES...what a perfect title of Bob's heart!! You will simply love this book!! 
There were moment's where I cried and where I laughed, I experienced those AWW moments too!! 
Bob brings you in to his world of LOVE...and its amazing!!  At the beginning of every chapter.. there is, "I USE TO THINK...it goes on and follows with what Bob experienced and then how it relates to GOD...Bob makes you think and all you want to do is experience a whimsy kind of life...Bob uses whimsy a lot in the book and I like it, honestly in CHRIST we have life abundantly and its up to us to make it count and Bob does that in all areas of hid life!!

Recently I was given the opportunity to review this book, "The Secret Life Of A Fool". WOW!! This is an amazing story about a man's journey of redemption and love, a right now story of the prodigal son coming home!! I loved this story!!
If you are seeking a relationship with GOD, If you are a prodigal son or daughter and yes there is a message there for the seasoned Christian...you will be walked beside every step of the way in Andrew's life. This young man has written his story with heart, love, compassion, and true forgiveness of what he has allowed to happen in his life. You will want more after reading it!!
Just goes to show no matter what happens in our life, GOD forgives and and we are once again washed clean!! AMEN!!!

To be free is a choice and yet we fall into those pits that keep us in bondage beyond physical, we are held in our emotions and psychological too, and yet we know that we know that we are set free. Recently I have been going through something that has hurt me far more deeper then I thought it could and I have allowed this situation keep me in bondage for almost two weeks, I have cried, I not eaten, I have prayed and I have journaled and yes I have slept more in the past two weeks then I have in the past month (I am a night owl, sleeping not what I do)

I have also gotten quiet and reserved who I am naturally has been affected because of what has happened and I have fed into it because of the BONDAGE that I was allowing to take over. This morning I woke up and I was still feeling heavy hearted and I was going through all the things that has transpired over the past few weeks and I can honestly say that this should not have gotten this bad but unfortunately it has, in knowing the TRUTH of GOD'S WORD and WHO HE is in my life, There is a time and season for everything, ALL storms will pass, growth will happen and lessons will be learned, I know what GOD has called me for, I know my responsibility to HIM and HIM alone and yet in these past weeks I have allowed what could have been a pit of Depression over shadow who I am in CHRIST JESUS...I am no longer captive, I have been set free and I praise HIM for that, I have no shackles holding me any more, JESUS broke them..THANK YOU JESUS!! 

Today I declare victory, I will NO LONGER allow this to keep me in bondage to the strongholds of man, nor to myself and that is what has happened....I chose this day to overcome the pit of Depression and to shake the shackles off and walk in the love and grace and mercy of JESUS CHRIST!! 

What shackles are holding you captive by self inflicting or by man?

Decide this day to shake them off, be free because you know what you are!!

There is also a bible study in the back to go even deeper...something I plan to do, for me this book has opened up even more to the life of CHRIST, We all know HIS ministry and what HE did on the cross for us...but Jonathan Falwell takes it even deeper....This is a keeper and it is also one you pass around and even buy to give to those in your family, circle of friends...

Sheep..

Hello All,

I hope this finds you well today. A couple of weeks ago I was up late and I was searching for something to watch on one of my Christian channels and as I was about to give up, I was right in time to hear a sermon on Sheep. For sometime now I have been really heavy hearted and over the last few days it has become very apparent as to why...Relationships are hard...each one of us have many relationships...some are closer then others, some are as parents, some are brother and sister, the list of the various types of relationships are endless and different in each situation. 

Which brings me to the children of GOD....did you know that SHEEP is mentioned over 500 times in the bible...that says something!! With that this is what I wanted to share today:

The Lambs Provision:

"Four requirements for lying down"

1) Because sheep are timid creatures they must be free from fear  (FEAR)

2) Because sheep are social they must be free from friction with other sheep

 (TENSION)

3) They must be free from flies and parasites in order to relax (AGGRAVATIONS)

4) They must be free from hunger (HUNGER)

There are two commitments:

1) Grazing first thing in the morning, so you can be watered with the dew of the HOLY SPIRIT

2) Allowing GOD to lead you day by day

My sister and brothers this is a message to my self as well and I plan on doing this...we ALL need each other, in good and in bad...in season and out, through tears and laughter....WE ARE RELATIONAL CREATURES...will always be great, NO...its not suppose to be because its in all these we grow and mature even more.

The SHEPHERD (JESUS) loves all so much, HE laid HIS life down for us so we may live and have eternal life....how our life is lived out here is all up to us...I don't want to be a lost sheep, I want to be within the fold and by doing that we must choose to just LAY DOWN...when we do, OUR RELATIONSHIPS WILL FLOURISH!!!!

WOW...what can I say?! Another great book by Neta Jackson!! You will laugh and you will cry and you will rejoice in this friendship and in the growth of Christ that takes place! If you have not read any of Neta's other books I highly recommend you do, you will love them!! I am so looking forward to the next the book in this series...Neta truly knows how to build her character's and all that they go through!!

My Thoughts Today..

Hello Friends,
I pray that this finds you all well!! In just this short time in 2012 so much has happened!! I have had surgery, we are adjusting to a new home! Praise GOD HE has been our strength in time of need, HE is so amazing!!! 
As I sit here and think about all that has happened and all that is still to come, I am excited to see the HAND of GOD in motion, I have seen HIM work in the lives of friends and in my life, my husbands life..GOD spoke to me last year and said that 2012 was a year of change....AMEN it is!! 
A big a change is ahead for us and well I will not say now what it is, As we are in the process of it, all I can say is that its NEVER our timing...It is ALWAYS GODS timing!!! 
What are you patiently waiting for? Stay faithful and always always remember...GOD knows better then we do, HIS TIMING is right on time!!

A Year With Jesus...review

Happy 2012!! I received this last year and I have to say for what I have read so far I am loving it!! The daily reads have encouraged and have been a right now message!! I plan on restarting it for the new year, seeing as I am not that far into it!
